We know you’ve received a number of emails from us this week, but we just got an urgent update that you need to know about.

This morning, it was announced that Mike’s self-funding opponent purchased $1.4 MILLION worth of TV ads that will run between now and Election Day. It’s likely that the vast majority of this spend came from his own personal fortune.

To be frank, we anticipated this would happen. But what’s concerning is that this spend is *in addition* to the $1.6 million already promised against us by Kevin McCarthy’s super PAC. Not only that, a second dark-money super PAC is already spending $800,000 on baseless attacks against Mike.

That brings the 2022 total spend against us to $3.8 million -- one of the highest sums among all competitive House races. It’s important that we respond immediately:

These final months are about delivering our closing argument to voters -- a positive message focused on Mike’s hard work delivering for our community. We think our message will be far more successful than our opponent’s, but that fact remains that we risk being drowned out by their spending.

As you know, Mike won’t take a penny from corporate PACs, and this campaign is dependent on support from generous individual donors like you. Today, we’re counting on you to step up and help us raise the additional $100,000 we need to deliver our last pitch.
