My team has emailed you before about Gov. Ron DeSantis down in Florida – how he’s angling to be an even bigger bully than Donald Trump and how spiteful his policies are toward Floridians.

 

Now that the Florida primary is over, we know that my friend Charlie Crist will be going head-to-head with DeSantis in November. And John, with all the harm DeSantis is doing to Florida, we NEED to support Charlie.

 

I wish I could devote an entire fundraising email to supporting Charlie Crist, but we’ve got a lot of work to do here in Georgia to defeat the far right. That’s why Charlie suggested that we split contributions from this email, to help both of our states defeat MAGA Republicans. Will you split a contribution between us?

As a recap, DeSantis has enacted cruel policies in schools targeting LGBTQ+ youth. He’s suspended and retaliated against a state attorney who refused to enforce Florida’s inhumane abortion ban. And now he’s trying to portray himself as a macho governor in his campaign ads by showing video of him verbally attacking reporters.

 

That’s called bullying, John. And it needs to stop.
