The work of championing our principles continues - and we are moving the needle with the sweat and effort of our scrappy grassroots volunteer movement. Our numbers are growing and the energy for a new direction in our politics continues to build.

Work is now underway for the 2023 Principles First Summit in Washington, DC from Friday, February 24 to Sunday, February 26, 2023. Demand for this event from both speakers, thinkers, and our grassroots principled activists has been off the charts - and this promises to be another momentous gathering for our lane. Tickets are now on sale here ([link removed]) and more information will be released in the coming months. See more below on how you can get involved in the planning and organizing process.

In the meantime, Principles First is headed to Texas in September with a weekend full of events across the state. If you're in the area, we would love to see you at one of our gatherings in Austin, Houston or Dallas.

Thanks to everyone who came to Wyoming for Liz!
We left it all on the field. We had people drive 20+ hours on their own dime from around the country to knock doors in Cheyenne for Liz Cheney.

Liz said it best in her concession speech, which is worth listening to here ([link removed]) if you missed it. This part in particular stuck with us:

A little over a year ago, I received a note from a Gold Star father. He said to me, 'Standing up for truth honors all who gave all,' and I have thought of his words every single day since then. I've thought of them because they are a reminder of how we must all conduct ourselves. We must conduct ourselves in a way that is worthy of the men and women who wear the uniform of this nation. And in particular, of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

This is not a game. Every one of us must be committed to the eternal defense of this miraculous experiment called America and at the heart of our democratic process—our elections. They are the foundational principle of our Constitution.

No House seat, no office in this land is more important than the principles that we are all sworn to protect, and I well understood the potential political consequences of abiding by my duty. Our republic relies upon the goodwill of all candidates for office to accept honorably the outcome of elections. And tonight, Harriet Hageman has received the most votes in this primary. She won. I called her to concede the race. This primary election is over but now the real work begins.

Most of world history is a story of violent conflict of servitude and suffering. Most people in most places have not lived in freedom. Our American freedom is a providential departure from history. We are the exception. We have been given the gift of freedom by God and our founding fathers. It is said that the long arc of history bends toward justice and freedom. That's true, but only if we make it bend.

We had a great time in Wyoming and it was great to have conversations with voters there about our principles and the future of the country. This is how we will win: by showing up and putting in the work.

Principles First Summit 2023 - Tickets are on sale!
The Summit will run for three days next year from Friday, February 24, 2023 through Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Washington, DC. The precise venue within DC is tentatively set for the National Press Club again (pending space constraints), punctuated by evening gatherings at other locations in DC. The typical Summit programming with panels and speeches will be on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday will be reserved for an attendee-only day where every Summit attendee will be invited to meet in both general and breakout sessions to discuss the previous days' content, vote on important Principles First matters, and plan local action for the upcoming year.

We will be announcing the Summit on a more formal basis in the coming weeks, but wanted to relay this information so you could plan ahead and purchase your tickets now.

Our Principles First discussion in New York City was fantastic. Thanks to New York lead, Rich Byrnes, for organizing.
