Below is a personal message from Max Rose, Democrat for Congress in NY-11. If you’re ready to do all you can to elect him and hold the House majority, will you chip in to his battleground race and help him reach his end-of-month goal? →

JOHN - if you’re wondering, “Who is Nicole Malliotakis?,” let me tell you.

In short, she’s my opponent here in NY-11 – the only flippable district in New York City.

But, the reason why I’m running against her is more than just wanting to flip this district blue. It’s because Nicole’s record speaks volumes about what sort of representation she believes we deserve.

I’m a dad. And now that we’re in back-to-school season again, I can’t help but to think of how unsafe our children are in their classrooms as long as weapons of war are legal for purchase. We’ve had endless instances of tragedy in classrooms, places of worship, grocery stores, really anywhere where people congregate. When given the opportunity to stand against the gun violence epidemic, Nicole Malliotakis chose not to.

I believe that the government has no place in telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. But when Nicole had the chance to vote in favor of codifying Roe v. Wade, she voted against reproductive rights and for the prosecution of women and girls who need abortion care.

We’ve seen a huge huge price hike in basic grocery store items and gas over the past year. Inflation has left families across our district with historic lows in spending money after receiving their paycheck, paying for their groceries and medicine, and filling up the tank. And get this, Nicole could have voted to lower prices at the pump and fight inflation but she voted ‘no.’

JOHN, I’m running to ban deadly assault weapons, protect reproductive rights, and continue the fight against rising costs. New Yorkers deserve a representative who will hear their needs and fight for them in Congress.

If you’re ready to stand with me against my opponent’s far-right views, I’m asking you to chip in and help me reach my end-of-month goal:
