Dear Neighbor,

I was honored to welcome U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin Walsh to the District! I invited the Secretary as a special guest to a town hall I hosted at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union hall in Batavia. Together, we spoke with labor leaders about the work we’re doing to bring good-paying jobs to Illinois.

Listening to and learning from labor leaders in my community is important to me. Secretary Walsh and I met with leaders from over 12 labor unions to discuss how the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will create good-paying union jobs in Illinois. From clean energy jobs to domestic manufacturing, these laws will help strengthen our local economies, while addressing our climate crisis. 

I am committed to strengthening labor unions and protecting workers as we implement this historic legislation. Learn more about my work advocating for you in Congress.
