I'm not just asking for your support because of how out-of-touch my opponent is.

Team — this congressional race, right here in Colorado’s 7th District, is one of just a handful that could determine which party controls the House next year. The polls show it’s a dead heat, and tomorrow is our last big fundraising deadline of the summer.

I’m up against a right-wing opponent who applauded the overturning of Roe v. Wade and supports Texas’ cruel abortion ban, which prohibits abortion without exception and punishes doctors with up to life in prison. He even boasted about having a Jan. 6th insurrectionist on his campaign staff. And he’s backed by over $4.4 million in spending by Republican super PACs.

Team, if that’s enough to convince you that this is a must-win race, then I’d be honored if you could pitch in $5 (more if you can) before tomorrow’s deadline.

But I’m not asking for your support just because of how out-of-touch and dangerous my opponent is. I’m asking for your support because I’m proud of my record and I’m ready to continue to fight like hell for Colorado families in Congress.

Growing up in a working-class family here in Jefferson County, we faced a LOT of adversity. I paid my own way by working more jobs than I count: I started cleaning houses when I was just 12 years old, worked behind the counter at a bagel shop, pushed carts at a grocery store, and waited tables at restaurant after restaurant to put myself through college.

So I know what it’s like to have to scratch and claw your way to making ends meet, and I know how painful it is when the government puts the profits of wealthy special interests before your basic livelihood. Those experiences motivate me every single day.

When I talk about helping Colorado families, I want you to know that’s not just talk. As a state legislator, I’m proud to say I’ve gotten a lot done. Expanding universal preschool  and making kindergarten free and accessible for every kid. Standing up to Big Pharma to lower prescription drug costs. Passing a historic law protecting the right to choose in Colorado.

But there’s a lot of work to be done. Work that I’m prepared to do in Congress to make life better for Coloradans, and folks like you and me nationwide.

I’m hoping I can count you in on this fight, because every indication is that this race is a toss-up. If you can pitch in before tomorrow’s deadline and help power our grassroots campaign to victory, I would be so grateful →
