The Fanthorp Family Cemetery is located in Anderson across the street from our Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site. For over 180 years, it has served as the final resting place for Fanthorp family members and some of the most notable figures in Texas History. On September 10?11, historic site staff will demonstrate proper cemetery care and explore the lives of those interred there.
Join our?Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites?in La Grange as they honor the soldiers entombed on Monument Hill on Saturday, September 17, at 10 a.m. The memorial ceremony will include guest speakers, a wreath-laying, and a gun salute. After the ceremony, staff and volunteers welcome visitors to explore the grounds of Kreische Brewery.
