With the midterm elections less than 11 weeks away, the stakes continue to climb as more of the Far Right’s agenda is exposed. Attacks on our children’s education, our reproductive freedoms, our right to vote in free and fair elections (and more!) are just the tip of the iceberg for their radical and regressive proposals. In the days following the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, artist Victoria Cassinova felt the same shock many of us had regarding the Supreme Court’s decision – one that has jeopardized reproductive health care for millions of people across the country. To help channel her frustration, Victoria turned to her art, producing a new piece she’s titled “My Choice.” People For organizing fellow Susan Stainman recently sat down with Victoria to discuss her new artwork and what it means to her and the pro-choice movement.

Kansas Voters Turned Out to Save Abortion Rights. That’s a Good Sign for the Rest of America.
As right-wing extremists strengthen their grip on the Republican Party across the country, Americans are fighting back against their regressive and extreme agenda. With Roe v. Wade overturned by a far-right Supreme Court, Kansas was poised to ban abortions in a recent statewide primary election. Voters in Kansas rejected that extremism in a big way – with the measure failing by more than 20% of the vote. As we look to the midterms, we must channel the same energy into defeating extremist agendas and candidates that are cropping up on ballots across the country.
