Forestry Field Day in Ashland ? September 10

Please join Maine Woodland Owners and Maine Tree Farm at their annual Forestry Field Day in Ashland on September 10. This year?s event will take place at Bombadil Tree Farm and run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.? ?Doors" open at 8:00 a.m., and donuts and coffee will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

Bombadil Tree Farm is cared for by Vince and Kathi Seiwert, Maine?s 2022 Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year. Events include guided field tours and ?Stop and Talks? covering topics from wildlife habitat and old growth forests to tree plantations and patch cuts. The Education Tent will have exhibits on topics of interest.

Refreshments will be provided. Lunch is available for a nominal charge.

Please note, there will be a pre-event tour during the afternoon of Friday, September 9 of Maine Woods Company's nearby hardwood mill.
