This is a DES internal working supervisory position. The Grounds Supervisor supervises skilled and licensed grounds maintenance, irrigation and mechanic workers in the maintenance and renovation of campus landscape and hardscape features for DES state-owned assets within Thurston County.
The incumbent works with a team of Grounds and Nursery Specialists, an Irrigation Technician, a Grounds Equipment Technician, B&G Planners, Trade Supervisors, Property Managers, Project Managers, Tenant Agency Facility Coordinators, the DES Safety and Risk Managers, Campus Security and Visitor Services staff, contractors, and various vendors to accomplish these tasks.
This position is responsible for managing the Grounds Operations biennial budget.
