Dear John,

Devastating monsoon rains have triggered extreme flooding across Pakistan, affecting millions of people – including refugees.

► Flooding has already killed more than 1,000 people – and this number is expected to rise.

► Over 30 million people have been affected, with hundreds of thousands displaced and living in camps or host families.

► Homes and harvest-ready crops have been washed away, as well as critical infrastructure like roads and bridges.

Our UNHCR teams have leapt into action and are already on the ground, responding with emergency shelter and supplies.

In the worst hit areas of Balochistan and Khyber Paktunkhwa provinces, we have already provided refugees and host communities with more than 71,000 emergency relief items like tents, blankets and cooking stoves, as well as delivered sandbags to help people build up defences around their homes. More support is on the way.

But so much more is needed. We need your support to provide critical aid and help more refugees in need.

Thank you for your support!

Best regards,
