John,

Historically, voter turnout is much lower in
non-presidential election years. But in this year’s mid-term
elections, we’re working to defy that trend. Already in primary
elections in California and many states across the country,
turnout has surpassed 2018 midterm general election levels.

John, Democrats understand that
this year’s mid-term election is different. With so much at
stake, this “off year” election is just as important as any
Presidential election in our lifetimes. Democratic voters are
fired up! If we keep them engaged and make sure they get to the
polls in November, we can keep our Democratic majorities in
Congress and continue the important work we’ve begun under
President Biden and Vice President Harris.

Since reclaiming the majority in Congress, my Democratic
colleagues and I have worked tirelessly to put people over
politics and to deliver big results.

The recent passage of the Inflation Reduction Act makes
that clear. This landmark climate change and health care
legislation is a historic win for the economy, families, and the
planet.

As the largest-ever federal investment in tackling
climate change, the Inflation Reduction Act establishes clean
energy tax credits and grants across industries, cost-saving
benefits for individuals, and tax credits for consumers
purchasing electric vehicles. This is a major economy-wide shift
toward cleaner, cheaper energy that propels us forward and meets
the urgency of the moment.

And, it does this all while prioritizing environmental
justice and advancing American energy security and independence.

Our hard work to position America as a global leader in
the climate fight and put us on a path to achieve our climate
goals is starting to pay off – but we’re not done yet.

The Inflation Reduction Act passed without a single
Republican vote in the House or Senate. Unfortunately, we can’t
count on Republicans to step up for the American people. The
progress we are making is possible only because we have the Biden
Administration working closely with a Democratic-led House and
Senate. That’s what is at stake in this year’s elections. Our
goal must be to not only maintain our Democratic majorities in
Congress, but to grow them so that we can deliver even more big
results.

Will you pitch in $20 before midnight to help us expand
our majority and keep fighting for progress?
