"The country could lose the right to vote in less than three months."
That's the warning Jena Griswold gave to The Guardian this weekend. As
Secretary of State, Jena oversees elections in Colorado -- and as
president of the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State, she's in
contact with election officials across the country.

Jena continues: "What we can expect from the extreme Republicans running
across this country is to undermine free and fair elections for the
American people, strip Americans of the right to vote, refuse to address
security breaches and, unfortunately, be more beholden to Mar-a-Lago than
the American people."

John, thousands of PCCC members across the country have been
donating to Democratic, pro-democracy Secretary of State campaigns in
battleground states for over a year to protect the offices that oversee
elections.

[ [link removed] ]Can you donate to key Secretary of State campaigns in Arizona,
Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Nevada? These officials could
be our last line of defense against efforts to overthrow our democracy.

In an email to PCCC members earlier this year, Jena Griswold wrote, "PCCC
has been an incredible partner in this fight for democracy and I'm so
thankful for their support in Secretary of State races this year."

Her warning about losing the right to vote comes on the heels of Liz
Cheney's concern that "We have candidates for Secretary of State who may
refuse to report the actual results of the popular vote in future
elections."

The Guardian: "Having failed to overturn the 2020 vote, Trump and his
loyalists are now strategically targeting positions that will play a
critical role in supervising the next presidential election, turning many
of the secretary of state contests this year into expensive, partisan
showdowns."

Secretary of State races don't always get tons of national scrutiny. But
in 2022, Democrats cannot afford to ignore the 2022 elections that will
determine who conducts and oversees the 2024 election.

[ [link removed] ]Please donate here to Democratic candidates for Secretary of State in
Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Nevada who stand
between democracy and authoritarian takeover -- and help support our work
to elect honest vote counters.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
