“The Arizona Supreme Court just gave 'devout' bigots the OK to discriminate.”

John, that was a headline in one of Arizona’s major newspapers after the Arizona Supreme Court ruled in favor of ADF clients Joanna Duka and Breanna Koski of Brush & Nib Studio earlier this year.

In 2016, Joanna and Breanna filed a lawsuit to stop the city of Phoenix from interpreting a local law to force them to create custom artwork celebrating same-sex marriage in violation of their Christian faith. The law threatened them with up to six months of jail time and fines up to $2,500 for each day they were found in violation.

It was outrageous.

Joanna and Breanna have always served everyone regardless of who they are. They simply don’t create artwork conveying certain messages—regardless of who asks them.

That’s exactly why the Arizona Supreme Court ultimately ruled in their favor. The Court emphasized that people must be free to express themselves consistent with their beliefs.

This was a big victory for Joanna and Breanna. But it was also a critical victory for all people of faith. It shows what can happen when we stand, pray, and unite in action.

The threats to your freedom are increasing, John.

It is critical that we are prepared—that we remain willing and ready to stand together against opponents of religious freedom right now—and in the year ahead.

That’s why your year-end gift is urgently needed now.

Not just to fight back—but to win.

Alliance Defending Freedom is trusting God for $10.3 million by December 31 to finish the year strong so we can stand against growing legal attacks on people of faith.

Will you help?

They slander your Christian beliefs

Joanna and Breanna believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. And for that, the world has labeled them “haters.”

Consider recent attacks by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The SPLC has labeled ADF as a “hate group” for defending people who are living by their deeply held beliefs about marriage – beliefs that are shared by millions of people across the nation.

This activist organization has decided that these beliefs are no longer welcome in the public square. They want to silence you, and they’re using their discredited “hate” label and their privileged position with corporations, the media, and government officials to do it.

Make no mistake, John. This attack on ADF is an attack on YOU and your faith.

But believing God’s Word is the basis for charity, opposition to injustice, and hope in a hurting world. It’s not hateful—no matter what opponents of religious freedom say.

That’s why we refuse to be silenced. We will not sit back and allow our freedoms to be stripped away by activist government officials or far-left progressive groups like the SPLC and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

But we can’t do it alone.

Will you stand with us right now and make your year-end gift today?

They want to silence you

Don’t think for one minute that creative professionals like Joanna and Breanna are the only ones at risk, John.

Similar tactics are being used to force people from all walks of life to violate their deeply held beliefs.

Teachers, counselors, and even doctors risk losing their jobs if they don’t promote ideas about human sexuality that conflict with biblical principles and scientific fact.

Vital services offered by nonprofit homeless shelters and adoption agencies are threatened if these organizations continue to operate consistently with their faith.

Churches, religious schools, and pro-life groups are being forced to pay for abortions in their health insurance plans, and their freedom to make hiring decisions based on their beliefs is being targeted.

These are just a few examples of attempts to silence you and deny you the right to freely live out your faith. But we don’t have to stand idly by while our freedoms are stripped away.

We can fight back—but only if you help us show up for battle.

Your year-end gift today will help ADF finish the year strong and fight back against threats to your freedom right now—and in the year ahead.

There is no fight without you—your financial support is critical

Opponents of religious freedom will not stop—we see new threats emerging almost every day.

Activist organizations like the ACLU and SPLC are backed by hundreds of millions of dollars. And they are demanding that the government deny your right to peacefully live out your religious beliefs.

These groups are massive. Their influence is growing. And they are opposing your faith and freedom with everything they’ve got.

But praise God that He continues to provide us with the resources we need to fight back. ADF has become one of America's most successful advocates at the U.S. Supreme Court, having won ten cases at the High Court since 2011. And we're winning nearly 80% of all our cases.

But none of this would be possible without God’s provision and your faithful prayers and support.

That’s why we’re asking you to take a stand today. We can’t fight these battles alone.

John, will you prayerfully consider making your best gift right now to protect religious freedom?
