In their first 100 days, Anthony Albanese and Labor have placated union bosses and pointed fingers at Scott Morrison.

Dear
Friend,
In their first 100 days, Anthony Albanese and Labor have placated union bosses and pointed fingers at Scott Morrison.

But they’ve done little to keep our economy strong or address cost of living pressures.

Because Mr Albanese is so consumed by, and obsessed with, the politics of yesterday, he has done nothing to deal with the real challenges Australians face today.

97 times before the election, Labor promised to lower power bills by $275 a year.

Mr Albanese has broken that promise.

Under the Coalition, electricity prices increased by an average of 0.3% per year (compared to 12.9% per year under the Rudd-Gillard Government).

Once again, Labor cannot be trusted on power prices.

One of Labor’s first priorities was to dismantle the Australian Building and Construction Commission.

This is despite its success in reducing industrial disputes in construction by 75% since 2016.

In that time, the courts have fined the militant CFMEU for 1,600 breaches of the law. Yet Labor is rolling over to their union paymasters.

And yesterday, Mr Albanese revealed a total lack of belief in, or support for, our legislated tax plan that will ensure 95% of taxpayers will face a marginal rate of no more than 30 cents in the dollar.

The Liberals will continue to be a constructive opposition, putting forward good policy proposals – like our policy to allow older Australians to work without it affecting their pension.

But it's time the Government focused less on the politics of yesterday and more on a plan to ensure a strong economy.
