Maybe you've heard me say it before: I am not a politician. I don’t want to be a politician.
I want to do what I am uniquely qualified to do : Lead an office of lawyers to effectively prosecute violent criminals and rehabilitate low-level offenders who deserve a second chance.
We don’t have to choose between safety and reform. We can do both, and we will.
My opponent, Mary Moriarty, doesn't see it that way. We know this disgraced former public defender thinks public opinion is more important than public safety – it's why she won't say publicly how she voted on last year's failed ballot initiative to eliminate the Minneapolis Police Department.
For the record, I voted no.
Hennepin County needs a leader in the Attorney's Office who is ready to put her head down and get right to work on rebuilding trust and keeping our communities safe. I'm the only candidate in this race with the will and ability to get the job done.
Please, John: Chip in what you can and together we will create widespread, meaningful change. Safety first, safety for all.
