I’ll be honest with you:
When Gabby and I got married, I never thought this is the way things would turn out.
I never thought I’d run for public office. She was the elected official in the family — and on the International Space Station, I was about as far from Congress as you can get.
I never thought more than 1 million people would contribute and volunteer to help elect me.
And I never thought that I’d need to ask you to do more than that to defend this seat.
But I do need to ask you to do more. We are facing millions of dollars in attack ads, Trump says beating me is the first step to "taking America back," and we’ve missed a few fundraising goals in a row already this year.
So please. You may not have woken up this morning thinking you’d make a donation to my re-election and the DSCC, but I really need you if we’re going to hold Arizona’s seat and our Senate majority against the National Republican groups coming to take them.
