As Live Action’s Donor Service Manager, I speak with passionate pro-life activists every day -  men and women like you who have recognized the evil of abortion and who want to take direct action to save innocent, beautiful children and their families from the devastation of abortion. 

Hands down, the most common question I hear is once someone is fully convicted of this injustice is: “How do I get involved?” 

You might be wondering the same thing, in which case, I’d love to offer some recommendations! 

Now more than ever, the pro-life movement needs to be committed, generous, and loving action in our communities to contradict the pro-abortion narrative that is condemning the (rightful) fall of Roe v. Wade. 

Now is precisely the time that we need to be generous with our time and talents, to lean into the areas we feel most called to serve and support the mothers and fathers who feel unprepared to welcome their greatest gifts – their children. 

Each of the following groups has a national presence and many of them have local chapters throughout the country. If there isn't a local chapter near you, this is your sign to fill that need!

• Live Action Ambassador - Live Action Ambassadors will get exclusive training, content, resources, and calls to action in this fight to defend preborn children and make abortion unthinkable. Get trained with the tools and resources you need online to become a fully equipped pro-life activist in your community.
  
  
• Option Line - They offer a confidential live chat, text line, and toll-free hotline that is available 24/7. The website contains additional resources for women who are considering abortion, have had an abortion, or are seeking alternatives to abortion.

• 40 Days for Life - They conduct prayerful vigils outside abortion facilities throughout the country. They have saved hundreds of preborn children, families, and former abortion employees from the abortion industry.

• Your local pregnancy resource center (PRC) - Many PRCs rely on volunteers to continue their daily operations: answering the phone, scheduling appointments, counseling parents considering abortion, etc.

• Support After Abortion - They offer training to support and serve anyone suffering after abortion.
  
  
• Rachel’s Vineyard - They offer confidential, weekend programs and other services across the United States and Canada, with additional sites around the world, for anyone affected by abortion.

• LoveLine - This resource exists to specifically serve those mothers and families that feel they have exhausted their local resources and still need help. You can support local families either as a resource and service provider for families or as a volunteer to connect them with the support that exists.

To reemphasize the importance of organizations like these… The Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion research arm partnered with Planned Parenthood, recently provided new abortion numbers, and the daily death toll has gone UP since their last number released in 2017. 

 

The report states that 2,548 babies are being killed everyday in the United States. Even with Roe gone, thousands of innocent children are still dying from abortions every day. Let this reality fuel your dedication to this difficult but essential work.

 

John, contrary to the truth, mainstream media is telling women that they “need” abortion. What they really need is life-affirming resources like these! Especially now that the abortion debate has been shifted to the state level, we must take part in and spread the word about these local organizations.

 

Tragically, most women seeking abortion report doing so under extreme pressure. These are mothers each of us meets in our churches, the grocery store, our neighborhoods, etc., unaware that there is support for them and their children. You and I can respond in life-saving ways to this tragedy.
