I’m about to head into my meeting with Andrea, and I wanted to make sure you saw my message. I’m hoping that I can tell Andrea you stepped up to help us get back on track for our critical end-of-month goal. If we fall short, we risk having to make serious spending decisions that would mean leaving more of this race up to chance.

I will be honest, we’re behind, and we’re at risk of falling short of our goal. This is not the news I want to deliver to Andrea tomorrow morning. Not when Cook Political said our race is going to be even more competitive than we thought. And not when we’re polling neck-and-neck against a self-funded MAGA Republican. The bottom line is: We can’t afford to fall behind. Not now.
