Friend –
Hot, stagnant summers, while our wildfire threat grows more dire every year. Per a recent Climate Central analysis, that is our new normal.
As this season comes to a close, we can't lose sight of the urgency of our fight against climate change. It's up to us to build a better future for children and generations to come.
So before our end-of-month deadline, we've set an ambitious goal of raising 600 donations by August 31st:
Will you be a part of our work halting climate change by chipping in $10 right now?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
These rising temperatures have deadly consequences. More than 150,000 residents of Washington are especially vulnerable to extreme heat. If we don't take action, things will only get worse. That means our neighbors, friends and family members will suffer, sicken, and even die.
And nearly 2.4 million Washingtonians -- that's 36% of our state's total population -- now live in areas that are at elevated risk of wildfire. To prevent more of our homes from burning down and stop more lives from being lost, we must take bold, aggressive action.
The Inflation Reduction Act was a great step forward, but now it's up to the Democrats in the states to carry this torch forward. But we can only do so with your support.
Will you chip in $10 before our end-of-month deadline this Wednesday at midnight to be a part of the solution to prepare for and prevent future climate disasters?
Thank you so much for being a part of this movement.
Very truly yours,
Jay
