Even after Katie flipped her seat from red to blue in 2018, November’s election is shaping up to be Katie’s toughest race yet. Because of redistricting, nearly 70% of the voters in CA-47 have never seen Katie’s name on their ballot before. The new part of our district is currently represented by a Republican in Congress and includes traditionally red areas like Huntington Beach.
Republicans see this as their best chance yet to kick Katie out of Congress. GOP super PACs that didn’t bother to spend a dime against Katie in her last election have already invested millions to boost her opponent.
