“Internal emails show WA Republicans fell far short of legislative primary targets”
– The Seattle Times
Republicans see the writing on the wall: Washingtonians, by and large, reject their regressive agenda.
While the state party has spent this cycle mapping out its path to winning back the legislative majority for the first time in decades, even the state House Minority Leader admitted that the GOP fell far short of their goal in the primary.
But, they’re not throwing up their hands just yet – so neither can we.
The run-up to Election Day is going to require a huge voter outreach push to support our candidates in tight races and protect our Democratic majority.
The GOP may see their path to victory narrowing, but that just means they’re going to use every tool at their disposal to try and pull out wins in competitive races across the state.
Republicans and their out-of-state donors have already poured huge sums of money into attack ads against our candidates, but we won’t be deterred.
This isn’t time for us to kick up our feet. We need to be ready for anything Republicans throw at us.
Wednesday is our first fundraising deadline since the primary, which means we have to show that Senate Democrats have what it takes to win across Washington in November.
The Washington Senate Democratic Campaign (WSDC) provides staff, financial, and strategic assistance to Democratic candidates in order to keep Washington a Democratic stronghold and expand our majority.
