BOLSTERING OUR ECONOMY & INCREASING AMERICAN MANUFACTURING:
Over the last two years, we’ve learned in real time the true costs of companies moving their manufacturing overseas. That’s why Jared voted in support of the bipartisan CHIPS & Science Act – legislation that aims to improve supply chains, create jobs by bringing production back home, and reduce our reliance on foreign manufacturers in unfriendly countries like China.

HELPING FAMILIES HEAT THEIR HOMES THIS WINTER:
The price of heating oil is at a record high. Even if prices come down in the coming months, it’s going to be a tough winter for many families in Maine. That’s why Jared introduced the bipartisan Home Heating Emergency Funding Act of 2022 that would respond to this challenge by temporarily doubling the funding that goes to LIHEAP, the program that helps struggling families with their heating bills.

LOWERING COSTS:
Mainers everywhere are facing tough decisions about rising costs. Congress can’t lower prices alone, but it can help. That’s why Jared supported the Inflation Reduction Act, fiscally responsible legislation that will lower the cost of prescription drugs, invest in domestic energy production, and crack down on the tax avoidance of billion-dollar multinational corporations.
