Additionally, the most recent polls out of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania show pro-democracy candidates Mandela Barnes and John Fetterman ahead of their far-right MAGA opponents by just 2 points and 4 points respectively!
Voters are waking up to the fact that this November, the choice before our nation could not be more stark ... that democracy itself and fundamental rights like abortion and marriage equality are on the ballot.
Nowhere are the stakes higher than in the U.S. Senate, where we can either expand a pro-democracy majority to end the filibuster, secure voting rights, and protect our most fundamental freedoms OR deliver a MAGA majority to Mitch McConnell to run roughshod over the rule of law and continue his assault on our judicial branch by blocking all of President Biden’s judicial nominees (including for any potential Supreme Court vacancy).
We have just 10 weeks left to get out every pro-democracy vote to save Truth, Justice, and the American Way. And we have just 48 hours until our end-of-month funding deadline to ramp up our Get Out The Vote and messaging strategies in the states that will determine the future of the Senate – and, with it, our democracy.

We’re at a fork in the road as a nation, with one way leading down the slippery slope to authoritarianism. It would mean further attacks on our fundamental rights – such as the right to vote in free and fair elections, the right to obtain an abortion, and the right to learn the unvarnished truth about racism in America’s history. It would also mean further attacks on our social safety net – such as Wisconsin Senator Johnson’s plans to privatize and slash Social Security and Medicare – and a likely end to accountability under the law for any crimes such as the January 6 insurrection and the top-secret documents recently found at Mar-a-Lago.
The other path moves us towards strengthening the American Way and defending our shared democracy. It leads towards codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law. It leads towards abolishing the filibuster to pass voting rights legislation. It leads towards rebalancing our courts after the rightward swing of the previous administration so we can achieve justice for all, not just the wealthy and well-connected, and it leads towards further economic support – like the Inflation Reduction Act – for those of us who aren’t billionaires.
