When I ran for Congress, our movement came up against special interests – private prisons, real estate developers, charter schools, the healthcare industry and wealthy financiers all opposed our campaign. They asked why it was okay for me to spend money that I'd earned from OnlyFans on our campaign, but they never asked my opponent why he could take cash from the private prison barons who make money off modern-day slavery.

I’m exploring a run for office again, and we’re facing the exact same challenges. Other exploratory committees are backed by special interests; our movement is backed by the people – us. Everyone knows early money helps campaigns, but it’s the special interests that have that money to spend. 

Let me be blunt: We need more help. We need to raise $5,000 by this Friday or we will not have the resources we need to launch our people-powered campaign.
