Team, there’s a lot at stake in Arizona this November.
Our voting rights – likely even our democracy – are at stake. The Republican candidates for Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State all falsely claim they can go back in time and reverse the results of the 2020 election. And they all openly claim they’ll declare Donald Trump the winner in 2024. On top of all that, they want to end mail-in voting and all early voting.
Declaring a winner years in advance isn’t what America is about. Going back and trying to retroactively name the second-place candidate the winner isn’t democracy.
Our reproductive rights and privacy are at stake. The AZ GOP has cheerleaded every day since the Dobbs decision came out, and they openly support an 1800’s near-total abortion ban that requires jail time for doctors. Some candidates want a national abortion ban and even a ban on contraceptives. This is a direct attack on our rights and on our privacy. We can’t let the AZ GOP drag us back to the 1800s on health care.
Our communities are at stake. The AZ GOP protects both the active bigots already in their ranks, like Paul Gosar and Wendy Rogers, but also elevates new extreme voices throughout the country. They want to send Arizona back to the “show your papers” years, terrorizing anyone who they suspect isn’t exactly like them. Meanwhile, our water supply is rapidly diminishing, our schools need support and our community needs are being ignored by the AZ GOP. We don’t need to elevate racists and bigots – we need to focus on our own needs.
Team, these are just three of the stark choices in November. It is extremism vs. solutions on the ballot. Can you donate $10 or more today to help us meet our $10,000 goal so we can elect AZ Dems who will work on solutions, not conspiracy theories?
