With the 2022 midterm elections in just two short months, all eyes seem focused on races that have caught national attention. But at Groundwork Project we have our eyes on the gains we need to make in traditionally red states to put long term support behind organizers and projects.

It’s in our states — Alabama, West Virginia, Mississippi, Oklahoma — Republicans have spent years amassing power, putting our most basic civil and democratic rights at risk. That’s where we come in.

But how exactly can YOU support our mission? Here’s a quick breakdown:

$35 covers the cost of one month of our virtual streaming software

Staying connected in real time to our partner states and organizations is a key component to our work at GWP, especially in a COVID world. Our streaming software also allows us to shine a spotlight on our grantees through features like our Groundwork TV series, and partner Facebook live events. This technology is essential to our work so we can continue funneling attention and resources to organizers on the ground.

GIVE $35

$125 helps our team keep our website up to date

It costs $125 every time we update our website to highlight new grantees (and we are doing that a lot!). We just opened up our next round of applications for grants so we want to be prepared to get our partner organizations, their story, and information onto the website as soon as they are selected!

GIVE $125

$500 covers our entry level mini-grant

Our mini-grants sponsor organizations on the ground needing an extra lift to get a program or event up and running. These grants fund anything and everything from educational to outreach and advocacy – all are built with the specific community in mind, hosted by local organizers, and turn an idea into action.

GIVE $500

$1,000 helps send a member of the Groundwork team to one of our partner states

There’s nothing as effective as being there in-person to see what’s happening, meet with partners and local officials, and collaborate face-to-face on the issues at the community level. We always look forward to sending a team member to a partner state because we know great things will develop from the trip!

GIVE $1,000

$5,000 sponsors one young leader to attend our eight-week Youth Organizing Fellowship program!

At Groundwork, we know it is important to not just welcome young people into the fold, we need to offer paid opportunities to remove the barrier of economic constraint. Your gift of $5,000 allows us to offer a fellowship and work towards building an organizing workforce that is diverse and well trained.

GIVE $5,000

Friend, we promise that every contribution you make goes directly back into our mission, it’s that simple. So, if you have been searching for the *perfect* place to make a lasting difference, search no more.

This Wednesday at midnight is our critical August budgeting deadline and we have some pretty big plans for the coming months that are dependent on the amount of money we raise now. Can you chip in – whatever amount – so we can keep doing this work?

Every bit helps,

Founded by Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork Project invests in year-round, local community organizing in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.

CONTRIBUTE

Individual contributions will be allocated as follows: $5,000 per calendar year to a bank account that operates as a Federal PAC, and the remainder to the Non-Contribution Account of our PAC.
