?Just been to the SOS for my driver's license renewal and was out in less than 15 minutes. In the past, I would remain there for 3-4 hours. The changes made to improve the wait times are phenomenal, thanks to the SOS team and the government of Michigan.?

Operational updates:
- The Department of State continues to make our services more convenient and efficient for all Michiganders. Now most transactions are done without visiting an office, and those who do come see us in person are in and out in an average of 20 minutes or less.
- This month we upgraded our online office visit scheduler to make it even easier to visit us in person for immediate service. Residents can also call 888-SOS-MICH to schedule their visit. Either way, they?ll find there is abundant availability for them to visit us for in-person service.
- We?re releasing the video below to help inform residents of the quick and convenient options they now have to do business with us.?
