Mick Lynch Kicking Off Our Autumn Offensive - Join Us!
The Tories face multiple deepening crises (the cost of living, supply chain breakdown, health, climate change and war) but have no solutions other than making us pay for the crisis. On Friday, we were told that our energy bills will rise by another 80%. This comes on top of the 54% rises earlier this year, more rises in January, as well as ever increasing inflation. At the same time, gas and oil companies make staggering profits. These, and other price increases, will lead to absolute catastrophe for ordinary people this winter.
We are in a very precarious situation and need urgent and coordinated action that forces the government to act and meet the needs of people not profiteering big business. The People's Assembly is therefore calling for maximum unity across our movement.
We have organised a series of events this autumn and are asking our supporters to help us to mobilise the biggest, most united voice of workers and communities from every corner of Britain in the coming weeks.
On Wed 7th September at 7pm, we will be kicking off our Autumn Offensive with an unmissable event.
Mick Lynch, RMT General Secretary, will be in conversation with Gary Younge, award winning journalist, author and academic. They will discuss the state of UK politics, the growing solidarity between the working class and the need for a radical alternative to face the growing crises of our time. This will take place in a central London venue.
