FREEDOM AWARDS

Celebrating Those In The Fight To Combat Child Trafficking

We invite you to join us at our Freedom Awards Benefit taking place on September 20, 2022 at the Pace Gallery in New York City. This is the first in-person event being hosted by ECPAT-USA in two years, and it will not only be a celebration of our collective resilience following the COVID-19 pandemic, but also a celebration of our distinguished honorees who represent the range of voices and strengths needed to protect children: a leading hospitality executive, a parent and shareholder activist, a pioneering survivor advocate, and an educator. Each of these highly acclaimed individuals are valued partners of ECPAT-USA and we are delighted to celebrate them and their efforts to ensure every child’s right to grow up free from trafficking and exploitation.

This year’s honorees of the Freedom Awards include:

  • Michael Dominguez, President & CEO, Associated Luxury Hotels International

  • Dr. Lisette Cooper, Vice Chair; Fiduciary Trust International

  • Theresa Flores, Survivor Leader & Founder of the SOAP project

  • Amaris Obando-Caraballo, Empowerment Coach (CAMS-I); Graham-Windham Family Services

We hope that you will join us at the Freedom Awards and/or support us through a Sponsorship or Donation. Contributing to the Freedom Awards provides those who recognize that child trafficking and commercial exploitation within the United States is a problem, but have felt powerless or unsure about what they could do to address the problem with the opportunity to ACT! With your contribution you will  be doing more than taking a stand against trafficking, but joining the fight to address this issue by helping to ensure that we have the resources that we need to focus on prevention efforts, advocate for needed policy change, and engage and uplift the voice of Survivors.

Beyond the Meeting Room with Faith Robles, Human Trafficking Survivor
This interview hosted by Associated Luxury Hotels International President & CEO, and 2022 Freedom Award Honoree Michael Dominguez, is part of a series where candid conversations are had with thought leaders from a variety of industries to inform and inspire. On this episode, Micheal spoke with Faith Robles, a Human Trafficking Survivor, and member of ECPAT-USA’s Survivor Council.

Support Survivors
Those making contributions to the Freedom Awards can designate that their Sponsorship and donations be made to support the ECPAT-USA Survivor Council. Survivors are Learned Experience Experts and for far too long they have not been provided with opportunities to lead decision-making in anti-human trafficking efforts. ECPAT-USA recognizes the value of their expertise and has been expanding our Survivor Council for the past two years. Survivors inform our work and help to assess our programs. Every member of our Survivor Council has been invited to attend this year’s Freedom Awards at no-cost, and we are in need of support to help cover their travel & hospitality costs.
