**?This position is eligible for full time telework within Washington State.**?
The Contracts and Procurement (C&P) Division is seeking several new Contracts Specialists to provide both internal and external contracting and procurement support and services to DES, state agencies, higher education entities and political subdivisions. Depending on qualifications, these positions will be filled at the Contract Specialist 1, 2 or 3 level, or as in-training positions where an employee starts at a certain job class level and then advances to the next job class level after satisfactory completion of the training requirements.

What is an in-training plan? ?The in-training is intended to provide an opportunity for an individual to gain the required experience on the job as part of a formal ?in-training? plan. Upon successful completion of an in-training program (typically 12 months), the incumbent will move up to the next job classification that is listed on the in-training plan if applicable.?The Contracts Specialist 1 in training starts at the Contracts Assistant level.?The Contracts Specialist 2 in training starts at the Contracts Specialist 1 level. The Contracts Specialist 3 in training starts at the Contracts Specialist 2 level. ?Your advancement will be based upon the successful completion of an In-Training Plan.
