Back to school inspired learning opportunities for the whole family
As kids head back into classrooms, it's a good time to consider expanding learning and knowledge for everyone. Here are some opportunities to keep your mind sharp and help the whole family learn, while having fun at the same time.

Visit a state historical park
Nebraska's nine state historical parks are brimming with history. Walk the historic grounds, explore reconstructed buildings, attend living history events, and peruse visitor center museums to take a trip back in the past.

Attend a wildlife education event
Game and Parks hosts fun, informative events throughout the year designed to help you explore the outdoors. Keep your eyes peeled for the "Science of..." and "Nebraska Nature Nerd Night" events, among others!

Visit a nature education center
Nature centers are a great place to spend some time. Check out the Schramm Education Center in Gretna to see and learn about Nebraska's native species through interactive exhibits, or visit the Wildcat Hills Nature Center to learn about the unique plants and animals of the Pine Ridge.
