Many Afghans have fled the return of Taliban rule. But Zahrah Nabi, determined to fight for her rights, decided to stay. Homeland , a new Voice of America short documentary, offers a rare glimpse into the life and dreams of a woman who chose to stand her ground, no matter the consequences.
This event, hosted in partnership with VOA, will feature a special screening of Homeland followed by a panel discussion about the documentary, and about Afghanistan in the year since the Taliban takeover and U.S. withdrawal.
