Dear Friend,
After celebrating my centennial birthday with friends and family over the past few weeks, I was heartened and humbled to return to so many well wishes and notes of friendship from People For the American Way supporters like you.
Thousands of you signed my birthday card (with so many including beautiful personal notes) and roughly 2,000 of you made donations to the vital ongoing work of People For in honor of my birthday. I am touched! THANK YOU!
This personal milestone has been a time of great reflection and recommitment for me … for what we must do as a country to truly live up to America’s bedrock ideals and for what I, and we, can do in these times to protect Truth, Justice, and the American Way, and make them real and accessible for ALL of us.
I am so grateful that our fight and our movement are in such capable hands as those of the staff, board, and members of this shared project of ours called People For the American Way.
