Seattle DSA members have thrown down! We’ve raised $2,050 in donations and $2,500 from the chapter to send members to the Socialism Conference next week in Chicago!  What a great showing so far!  

17 Seattle DSA members want to attend the largest socialist conference in the US - Socialism Conference in Chicago over Labor Day weekend. To help send them, we need to raise an additional $1000. 

We’re excited to announce that 2 more members want to attend the conference: Maria and Guillermo, the Campaign Manager and Field Organizer for the Gallardo campaign!

We’re really excited to attend the Socialism Conference, specifically workshops on Abolition, Black Feminism, & Building the Party: an inside/outside strategy for organizing beyond elections.

We think the Socialism Conference will help us keep the momentum from the Gallardo campaign going as we become better ambassadors for Seattle DSA, bringing the lessons to our organizing in South King County.  We want to help build the socialist movement by expanding the diversity of our membership & making it welcoming for people like us to join Seattle DSA.”

To confront and overcome these titanic challenges, it’s essential socialists come together to discuss what the socialist solutions are, learn from each other, and bring back the political lessons to build the socialist movement in Seattle.

Labor Notes was a transformational experience for the Starbucks and HomeGrown worker organizers, Socialism Conference will have a similar political impact and return to us invigorated and ready to build DSA! Let’s make this happen! 💪
