Friend, I'm about to hop on Zoom for a rapid response strategy meeting with my team. But I have a time-sensitive update for you on the state of my race:

FIRST, The Miami Times reported that I was rapidly gaining ground on Marco Rubio after months of polling showed me trailing a few points behind – and a Rubio-linked super PAC started running $1.5 MILLION in attack ads to defeat me. 

THEN, this grassroots team stepped up to help me fight back, and my campaign started SURGING: We got our own ads on the air and OUTRAISED Rubio for FIVE consecutive quarters because of hundreds of thousands of supporters chipping in.

NOW, with two new polls showing this race tied and another showing me surging ahead, Republicans are TERRIFIED. Rubio just launched another $1.3 MILLION in TV attack ads to smear my name and help him take the lead.

National Republicans and Rubio have tens of millions combined that they will spend to try buying this seat, friend, so it's clear what we need to do: launch an unprecedented response to fight back, keep our momentum and win this race to expand our Democratic majority.

I believe in the grassroots movement we're building together – and we cannot allow Rubio to flood the airwaves and pull ahead just as we're on the verge of overtaking him. I am asking you to donate whatever you can – in the face of Marco Rubio's ad blitz to try to destroy our momentum – so I have the resources to fight back and win this race.
