The lessons of our interdependence are coming at us fast and furiously. As we navigate a wounded past and an uncertain future, we will need the depth of our courage and the breadth of our collective. "Practicing Change, Shaping Futures” is an invitation to meet this moment and show up for each other and the future that we all deserve.
This virtual summit, September 1 - 4, 2022, is bringing together those of us who think we can and need to do better for ourselves, our communities and our society. It is a place for us to gather in practice, build political muscle and harness our collective power to confront what’s in the way of our collective wellness and create more possibilities for a just and joyful future.
Led by movement leaders Dr Jasmine Syedullah, Dr Sará King, Rae Leiner, Nicole Cardoza, Frank Escamilla, Kerri Kelly, Kennae Miller and more, we will be gathering in shared practice and action, asking hard questions and building skills/capacity as we prepare ourselves for the work ahead. Here are some of the questions we will be reflecting on together:
How do we pick up the pieces when the system falls?
How do we heal ourselves from the lie of the separate self as it lives and breaths in ourselves?
How is toxic culture at work on our bodies and minds? How do we get free?
What is possible when we embrace the impossible?
What are we using to fuel our organizing work?
What are the stories that we tell that hold your highest truth?
How do we create a culture of care that takes care of all of us?
We’ll be meeting up on zoom each day at 9aPST/12pEST and 4pPST/7pEST for content sharing, embodied practice and group work. We’ve structured registration on an equity scale to reflect your social location and financial abilities (no one will be turned away). All sessions will be recorded.
