Here's a news clip from a few years ago that I recently came across:
"Lt. Dave Betz, who heads that drug unit and has been on it for 14 years, told 5 Investigates the heroin epidemic in Chelsea is the worst he's ever seen.
In recent years it’s been aided and abetted by a new twist: Dominican drug dealers entering the country illegally using black market Puerto Rican identification documents and walking into the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles to get driver's licenses matching those new identities, Betz said."
That was in 2016, and in 2022, Democrats voted along party lines to override a gubernatorial veto to give illegal immigrants access to driver's licenses and all the perks that come with them.
Even the top law enforcement official in the state jumped on that bandwagon:
