Even before we saw the horrible leaked Supreme Court opinion last spring which confirmed that the Court was going to gut the right to abortion by overturning Roe v. Wade, there has been a small but growing group of Republicans in Congress — including Heather’s opponent Andy Harris — mapping their next move after the SCOTUS decision. Remember, this is only step one for them; step two is a national abortion ban without exceptions.
Did you know that Andy Harris and over 150 of his GOP colleagues — more than two-thirds of all Republican House members — are cosponsors of the Life at Conception Act? This would BAN abortion nationwide, with no exceptions.
We cannot let this happen. We have a slim majority in the House today and we need to expand it and retire everyone we can who is working to take rights away from us.
