John, there's a lot of fear and confusion among Georgians who need reproductive care in the wake of our state's abortion ban going into effect.
Local clinics are having to turn more and more patients away, and women are having to go out of state for procedures. Folks are rightly concerned that GOP legislators may try to impose legal penalties on people who travel out of state for an abortion (or anyone who assists them). And when The Atlanta Journal-Constitution asked Chris Carr for clarification on the law this week, he simply refused to comment. Chris Carr refused to do his job as the chief legal officer of this state.
Georgians deserve an Attorney General who doesn't shy away from honest talk. Can you chip in to help me defeat Chris Carr and give Georgians transparent leadership that protects their rights? Our August deadline is three days away, and we still need to raise another $9,437.

Carr spent millions of taxpayer dollars defending Georgia's abortion ban. And now he refuses to give guidance on a law that's sent shockwaves throughout our state.
But I get it. If I were in Carr's shoes, I wouldn't want women to know how bad it is either. I wouldn't want women to know seeking care out of Georgia could subject them to prosecution.
Carr might be running, but he can't hide. With your help, we're going to expose his record. We're going to hold him accountable for his failure to protect Georgians' fundamental rights and support of unjust laws.
The momentum is on our side, and now we need to close the summer strong. So John, can you chip in $10 before our deadline on Wednesday?

Thank you,
Jen
