REAL RESULTS: Elise Secures Over $4.1 Million for NY-21
On Wednesday, Elise announced that over $4.1 million in Northern Border Regional Commission funds will be awarded to eight projects in NY-21. This includes one million dollars going to the Village of Canton in order to build a new secondary water source. Some of the other projects consist of rehabilitating the historic Trudeau Building, developing a comprehensive welding training program, and renovating the former Cascade Cross Country Ski Center. Elise stated:
“I am proud to announce that over $4 million in taxpayer dollars will be returned to our district to invest in valuable infrastructure, skills training that leads to good-paying jobs, economic development, and tourism in our region. The Northern Border Regional Commission grants and projects have already made a significant impact in our communities, and I am proud to take a leading role in increasing access to the program for Upstate New York and the North Country and ensuring NY-21 communities are prioritized by this critical program. I will continue to advocate for Northern Border Regional Commission funding that has greatly benefited our North Country communities.”

here . Elise Joins the Ribbon Cutting of the Lake George Wastewater Treatment Facility After Delivering Key Funding
On Wednesday, Elise took part in the Lake George Wastewater Treatment Plant opening ceremony after delivering $500,000 towards this critical project through Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) funds. Elise is dedicated to including NBRC throughout all of NY-21 in order to allow access to crucial economic development grants for our communities. Elise stated:
“I am honored to join the Lake George community today as this project, which has been years in the works, becomes a reality. Now, this community has access to a much-need and modernized wastewater treatment facility. I am proud to secure critical funding important for this project and deliver this result for the community.”

Elise Tours Fire Mark Insurance Agency in Cobleskill
Elise recently participated in a small business tour at Fire Mark Insurance Agency in Cobleskill. Growing up in a small business herself, Elise is proud to stick up for NY-21 small businesses and recognize them as the economic engine of Upstate New York and the North Country.
Elise Continues to Demand Answers from the FBI Regarding the Schoharie Limo Crash Case
Elise continues to call out the FBI and demand a response from Director Christopher Wray concerning the agency's connections to Shahed Hussain, the owner of the stretch limousine that was involved in a horrific crash in 2018 that killed 20 people in Schoharie.

Elise Pushes Canada to End the ArriveCAN Requirement at the Border
As a strong advocate for our northern border communities, Elise has continued to push the Canadian government to end ArriveCAN travel requirements at the Northern Border. This past week, Elise penned a letter to Canadian ambassador Kirsten Hillman that keyed in on the use of the ArriveCAN app at the border, which requires travelers going into Canada to give their contact information, travel plans, and a proof of vaccination.

Elise Hears From Small Businesses During Visit to Bank of Cooperstown
Elise recently joined a small business round table at the Bank of Cooperstown and spoke with several local business owners about the issues impacting them, including skyrocketing inflation and the labor shortage crisis. Elise said:
“I wanted to hear what their top issues are and it’s the economy, inflation and gas prices. This is what House Republicans are fighting for.”

Elise was invited by the local Walmart Grocery Distribution Center in Johnstown to tour and discuss the local impact of the supply chain and labor shortage crises. She spoke with employees about how Walmart sources some of its produce from local farms around NY-21.

On Thursday, Elise joined Assemblyman Smullen’s Annual Veterans’ Dinner in Gloversville to speak with local heroes who served our country. As a representative for one of the largest veteran communities in the nation, Elise will continue to deliver real results for veterans.
Elise Congratulates GOP Primary Winners in New York and Florida
On Tuesday, Elise congratulated her endorsed candidates on their victories in New York and Florida. Candidate Mike Lawler (NY-17) and E-PAC endorsed Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13) won their Republican primaries. Elise also congratulated Congresswoman Claudia Tenney who won the Republican nomination in the new NY-24.
