In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s formal decision overturning Roe v. Wade earlier this year, extremists in 9 state legislatures have already mobilized and banned abortion while abortion advocates in 6 other states have passed laws to protect it.
Friend: If there is one thing to take away from what is happening in real-time, right now, it’s this: The fight to protect abortion has gone to the states.
And now, it’s time for us to do what we do best → Help voters win the change and protections they need directly at the ballot box.
We know ballot measures are the absolute best way for us to protect access to abortion. We’ve already seen voters in Kansas use direct democracy — and WIN — in the fight for reproductive rights just last month.
We know we can replicate this success in Michigan and Vermont, but it is going to take serious resources. That’s why, to move full steam ahead with our GOTV efforts in Michigan and Vermont, we need to finish out this month strong. We’ve set a critical goal to raise $10,000 before Wednesday at midnight. Will you help power our work to protect abortion access in the states with a donation towards our end-of-August goal today, friend?

In the wake of Roe, as the majority of Americans grieved the decades of precedent that had just been stripped away, extremist officials in 9 states acted fast to ban access to reproductive health care.
Winning in Michigan and Vermont sets the precedent that we won’t sit back and watch while extremist officials take our freedoms away. We’re ready to fight, and we’re ready to win.
Team: No fight at the state level has ever been more important. We must show these anti-abortion officials that while they work against us, we’re powering the real change directly at the ballot box. YOU can help power our work to protect abortion access in the states with a donation towards our $10,000 August goal today.
Thank you, friend.
