America is at a crossroads.
We can continue down the path that led to forty-year high inflation, record-breaking crime rates, supply chain crunches that left mothers unable to feed their infants, and a massive rollback of parental rights; or we can recommit to America, her ideals, and chart a new path forward.
For too long, politicians have promised the world and then, once they get to Washington, deliver an anthill. After the economic havoc the Biden Administration has wrecked on taxpayers’ wallets, the fentanyl that has infested our streets, and the lives lost to unregulated violence, the American people are tired of waiting. House Republicans are, too. That’s why we aren’t sitting on our hands while Washington Democrats destroy America. We’ve been on the ground, listening to our constituents, learning from experts, and have made a “Commitment to America” that will serve as a blueprint for a Republican House Majority in the 118th Congress.
Our commitment to you is this: a nation that is safe, an economy that is strong, a future that is free, and a government that is accountable.
One-party Democrat rule has eroded public safety. Encounters at our southern border spiked 300% in July. The Department of Homeland Security is reporting more than 800,000 known got-a-ways this year alone, many of them on the terror watch list. At the same time, due to the ‘Defund the Police’ movement, soft-on-crime policies, and failed bail reforms, our streets are in chaos and our law enforcement officers are under attack by violent criminals. Our District isn’t immune to this, either: as of May, Savannah’s violent crime rate was up more than 14%.
House Republicans are committed to securing our southern border, backing the blue, reducing the flow of Fentanyl, and defending our nation with peace through strength.
Under President Biden, Georgian’s paychecks are worth 13.9% less than today than they were a year ago. Taxes on the same earners he promised to protect – those making less than $400,000 a year – have gone up. Supply chain disruptions have hit everyone hard, from infants to seniors, and have threatened both our health and national security.
As a former small business owner, I know first-hand that the decisions made in Washington directly impact your bottom line. That’s why House Republicans are committed to fighting inflation, supporting working Americans, reducing gas prices, restoring energy independence, securing the supply chain, and restocking our shelves.
The Biden Administration showed its true colors when it promoted an organization that labeled parents concerned with their child’s education as “domestic terrorists.” That anti-parental rights campaign has only grown, with parents now having to battle for input into not just their child’s medical care, but their own medical care. And if you dare voice your concerns on social media, prepare to be kicked off.
I’m a parent. I’m a grandparent. The government does not know what is best for our children; parents do. House Republicans are committed to restoring parents’ voices in their child’s education, advancing free speech, fighting political bias in big tech companies, and ensuring better, healthier, and longer lives for all American citizens.
Lastly, this Administration has shielded itself from responsibility for any of the crises it has thrust upon the American people by putting Biden in front of a teleprompter and dodging reporters’ questions. In Congress, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats refuse to hold hearings of vital importance, like on the origins of COVID-19 or the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, because they do not want to be confronted with their own failures.
Folks, those days will soon be over. House Republicans are committed to holding the White House and the rest of this Administration accountable by ensuring free and fair elections, like we did with Georgia’s Election Integrity Act, protecting our rights, and serving the people, not special interests.
We are ready to hit the ground running and I invite you to join us.
