{FirstName or 'Friend'}},

The media is allowing news about redistricting to fade from the headlines. But our work continues and every day we see the stakes get higher.

And control of our politics for the next decade is very much still up in the air. We’re facing long tough battles in state legislatures and courts. And we can’t win without your support. All On The Line is engaged in this fight at every level.

We are supporting litigation. We are educating the public. We are organizing voices to demand fair maps. We’re fighting conservative efforts to make state courts less independent and more partisan. And we are in this fight for the long haul.

To sustain our efforts with an extra boost, we’re aiming to reach a $50,000 goal before the end of the month. Can you make a contribution today? [[link removed]]

In many states, key decisions are pending that could have national impact.

The U.S. Supreme Court is allowing the 2022 elections in Alabama to proceed on a judicially determined discriminatory map that has just one majority-Black district favorable to voters of color out of seven congressional districts in the state -- even though Black people comprise more than one out of four voters there.

In Georgia, people of color account for much of the state’s population growth. But you wouldn’t know that from the state’s gerrymandered maps, which dilute the votes of Black people at the congressional and state legislative levels. A federal judge said that a decision in that case won’t come until after the 2022 election as well. Meaning the fight for fair maps and elections in Georgia is another fight for the long haul.

In North Carolina, Republicans are asserting a radical new theory according to which state courts would be unable to stop legislatures from enacting and implementing gerrymandered congressional maps. And if that sounds ominous, consider this: At least four U.S. Supreme Court justices have indicated an openness to this utterly groundless claim.

Then there’s Texas, where Governor Greg Abbott allegedly goaded the state legislature into intentionally and illegally diluting the voices of the very same voters of color who drove the state’s population growth. The U.S. Department of Justice is suing--as are we.

The bottom line: Now is not the time to let our foot off the gas in this fight. All On The Line will never relent--whether the fight for fair maps is on the front page or the back page or no page of the news at all -- because we know our democracy is at stake for the next decade. But we need your help to do it. So please, without a moment’s delay, rush your contribution to All On The Line today. [[link removed]]

Your contribution will be your personal statement that you won’t be bullied -- whether it’s by Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbott or any of the other map manipulators. Please help today.
