Hi John,
A strikewave is sweeping the nation.
Workers at Starbucks, Amazon, and many other companies are tired of being paid too little, worked too hard, and taken for granted. They see their billionaire CEOs with their $200 million yachts and think, “They have so much and I can’t even afford the doctor?”
So workers are drawing on a long American tradition: withholding their labor until they get some respect. It’s incredible to see.
But one thing is lacking: a national strike fund.
Large, established unions have strike funds for workers, but workers who aren't in a union yet don't. That's where I come in.
I’m starting a national strike fund — support it here!
Every extra day on strike is another day that a worker is hitting their boss where it hurts most: their bottom line.
Every dollar goes a long way and helps a worker stay on strike longer. For example:
-
$16.36 = 1 hour (on average) of a worker's missed wages
- $122 = 1 month's average electric bill
- $130.88 = 1 day of missed wages while on strike
CEOs have billions of dollars and union-busting consultants. You, me, and these workers have each other — and there are tens of millions of us. This is just the beginning.
Soon I’ll be building a website and creating ads and videos.
Keep an eye out for emails from me with more information, and in the meantime, help me start the national strike fund here:
