It’s true, John:
With the GOP nominating election deniers for key offices in swing states across the country - and with opponents of democracy seeking to take control of election administration - our democracy is in real danger. But here at the NDRC, we refuse to give up without a fight.
Here’s what we’ve got planned for this November:
- We’re targeting 17 states with races where the outcomes will be pivotal for the future of our democracy, including each of the states listed by Salon above.
- We’ve endorsed 14 Democracy Defenders who understand what’s at stake and will do everything in their power to protect our system of government.
- We’re working to stop election deniers from corrupting election administration and causing chaos at the polls.
Because the way we see it, we’ve got two options: We can either (1) throw up our hands and resign ourselves to the fact that the American experiment is doomed, or we can (2) do everything in our power to make sure we pass it on to future generations.
We’re choosing option 2 and doing everything we can to defend the right to vote, help elect pro-democracy candidates up and down the ballot, and stop election deniers from corrupting our election administration systems and causing chaos at polling places. But all of that work takes resources, and we’re counting on donations from supporters like you to help us keep it up.
