I was born and raised in Burgos Tamaulipas, Mexico. My family legally immigrated to the United States when I was six years old and I was given the best gift – the gift of becoming a proud, naturalized American Citizen.
My parents and grandparents taught me the conservative values of faith, family, and hard work. Many hot summers in the cotton fields working alongside my parents allowed me to get an education, go to college, and become a Respiratory Care Practitioner. I’m eternally grateful to my parents for providing me with an opportunity to come to this amazing country to live the American Dream.
Only in America is my story possible. I am proof the American Dream is alive. I accomplished my dream of becoming the first Mexican Born Congresswoman in history, and I will always fight so that others can achieve their dreams too.
Democrats are destroying the American Dream and demolishing everything my family came here to find. They deliver more poverty, a higher dependency on the government, inflation, higher gas prices, a border crisis, and an America Last Agenda. The Democrats are AGAINST everything I stand for.
The truth is, I'm the Left’s worst nightmare. They claim to be for immigrants. I'm an immigrant. They claim to be for women. I'm a woman. They claim to be for the people of color. I'm someone of color. Yet, I don't feel the love. They attack me because I’m a proud Republican.
The Republican Party stands for the same conservative values that I hold so dear. They promote a Pro-God, Pro-Life, Pro-Family and Pro-Job platform that helps Hispanics achieve the American dream.
So, John, now that I’ve told you why I’m a Republican, I want to know why YOU are a Republican.
