| John, On August 16th, my team released the latest general election TV AD that we’re calling “Balance.” Right now, there is little to no balance in Washington, D.C. Democrats are running the country from top down, with little to no input from those outside their elite spheres of influence. I’m running to Congress to change that. Washington is chalk full of career politicians who have been in elected office for years and years. As for me, I’m just a small-town veteran who wants to hold Democrats and out of touch Republicans accountable. The good news is that my newest TV AD is one that voters in Oregon really must see. They need to see it because I’m running against a career politician who would not be loyal to voters, but to party leadership. The Bad news is that we simply don’t have enough cash to put this AD on TV at present. If you don’t mine, please look at the spot and if you agree with what I’m trying to convey to voters, chip in a few dollars to help me get this on TV screens in my district ASAP.  Democrats have committed to spending upwards of $6 million to defend their nominees in Oregon between now and November. We simply cannot compete with that, but we’re doing our best to try. Not only does my opponent have the Democrats in DC coming to her aid, but she also has the endorsement of the man I ran against last time, longtime Rep. Peter DeFazio.
