John,
Ever since Trump mega-donor Louis DeJoy was installed as Postmaster General of the United States Postal Service, he’s done everything in his power to destroy it.
Even with the passage of the Postal Service Reform Act, the United States Postal Service is still in trouble and without action by President Biden, Louis DeJoy will move forward with his plans to dismantle the USPS.
While President Biden does not have the power to directly fire Louis DeJoy, the President is not powerless.
President Biden can push the Board of Governors to fire DeJoy and if they refuse to act, replace the Board of Governors with new leaders that will meet their responsibility to represent the public’s interest by removing Louis DeJoy as Postmaster General.
Now, with two vacancies slated to open on the Postal Board this coming December, will you tell President Joe Biden to appoint Governors who will stand up to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s destructive leadership and advocate strongly for the expansion of USPS services?
DeJoy has been clear about his intentions, moving forward to raise postal rates while cutting services at the same time.
The United States Postal Service is an integral and indispensable part of American life. Many people across the nation are dependent on the post office for essential medicine, supplies, and the ability to safely conduct elections by mail.
The passage of the Postal Service Reform Act shows that our strategy is working. Now with the campaign building, we must make sure the White House feels the pressure to act.
Tell President Biden: Nominate the Final Two Members of the USPS Board of Governors Needed to Fire Louis DeJoy and Expand Postal Services Now
Thanks for raising your voice today.
