Thanks to President Biden, every American is now paying off student loan debt.

President Biden's announcement that he’s canceling student debt is a handout to high-income earners who went to college at the expense of working Americans.

It’s a slap in the face to hard-working Americans.

Americans who didn’t go to college, worked hard to pay off their loans, held a job during school, or chose a more affordable school, are left with the burden of paying off loans for wealthier Americans.

This is yet another wildly unfair socialist wealth transfer at the expense of America's middle-class to elites making over six figures.

Not only is this bad policy, Friend, it’s a handout to the wealthy.

In the middle of a cost of living crisis, this will only fuel inflation and drive the price of college tuition to unattainable levels for many middle-class families.

Democrats cannot ignore this fact: student loan forgiveness overwhelmingly benefits high earners. Almost 75% of repayment dollars are made by those in the top 40% of income earners.

We should focus more on constraining college costs and developing creative ways for students to finance a college education, like Todd’s Income Share Agreements proposal.
